Happy TAP-pers!
Using Lesley Riley’s TAP™ Transfer Artist Paper is almost a magical experience. When Lesley came to C&T and showed all of us what you can do with TAP, it seemed too good to be true. Could a simple piece of Transfer Artist Paper really take an old family photo and place it on wood? Or even metal? And you could iron over it and wash it?
There is nothing like peeling up TAP after you’ve done your iron transfer and seeing (Continue Reading...)
Quilt Market Wrap Up
Whew, things are finally starting to calm down after a very exciting and eventful Spring International Quilt Market in Minneapolis. We had so much fun sharing our new books and products, and spending time with our industry colleagues. I could go on and on about the adventures, but I figured I would let the pictures tell the story:
The next day, half of the C&T team continued setting up the booth, and the other half conducted our schoolhouse presentations. We had (Continue Reading...)

“New From Old” Contest Ends Soon!
C&T is proud to be a sponsor of The Alliance for American Quilt’s “New from Old Contest.”
Here’s your chance to make a small quilt with a big payoff. In fact, the payoff might be really big. Say, the size of a mid-arm quilting machine, which is the grand prize for this year’s quilt contest to benefit the nonprofit Alliance for American Quilts. The “New From Old” theme was chosen as a reminder that quilting constantly re-invents itself, and because recycling seems smarter now than ever.

Too Cute Not to Share
I recently got an email from Tammy Casstevens, a quilter who just finished making a quilt for her grandson using a pattern from the book Cozy Modern Quilts by Kim Schaefer.
She sent me pictures of her quilt, and it was so adorable, I asked her if she would mind me posting it to the C&T blog. Lucky for us, Tammy said we could share the pictures of her sweet grandson and his new quilt as (Continue Reading...)

A New, Must-Have eBook for Elm Creek Quilts Fans
A couple of years ago, Elm Creek Quilts author Jennifer Chiaverini organized a contest among her devoted Elm Creek Quilts fans. In the novel, Circle of Quilters, two founding members of Elm Creek Quilts Camp decide to leave the fold. The remaining members had to select two new teachers to join their staff, which is really more like a family. In the book as a part of the application process for the teaching position, each of the five finalists was instructed to (Continue Reading...)
