I discovered the joys of quilting when my daughter, Annika, was too small to be around palettes of wet oil paints. Stacks of fabric seemed a cleaner, safer choice. And in Annika’s eyes, a fun choice! One of her favorite activities as a toddler was sifting through my fabric stash, selecting the fabrics she liked best, and draping them around herself like a princess gown.
