Monique Dillard’s recent release, Diamond Traditions, inspired this spectacular deck of standard* playing cards featuring Americana-style quilts.

In case you’re wondering, the fabric collection on the front of the deck—adapted from the quilt above— is Prairie Paisley II by Minick & Simpson for Moda Fabrics.

*by standard, we mean fantastic, heavy-duty cards with the Jacks, Queens, Kings, and Aces sporting a different quilt for every suit. The joker? Why it’s Monique herself!

And just in case, like me on some days, the phrase ‘are you playing with a full deck?’ brings to your minds something else, here’s a little funny for you!

(ps. Cra cra is urban slang for crazy!)

I love to play Solitaire with cards or on the computer. I think it is easier to play on the computer but more fun to play with cards.

I hate card games probably because my parents tried to teach me Pinochle and it bored me to death as a kid. I was a casino dealer of 21 for several years so now I never play cards.
