Artful Fiber Bag combined with Luminarte paint = match made in heaven!

Fiber collage made using painted Mul•Tex, Lutradur, Spunbond, silk rods, silk cocoon, Wonder Web, and thread scraps

OK, I know I’ve said this before, but I really love my job.  Ever since the idea of creating a bag of fibers started floating around the office, I’ve been lucky enough to be involved. Part of my job has been to suggest fibers to include, play with the fibers, make samples using the fibers, use the fibers with different products, and in general show people different ways to use Artful Fiber.

One of the great things about Artful Fiber (aside from coming in a reusable messenger bag), is that you can use all kinds of paints, inks, and dyes on them.  The examples in this post were all painted with Silk Acrylic Glaze from Luminarte. It’s a luminous acrylic glaze with particles of mica that make it beautifully shimmery and come in an assortment of yummy colors.
