Everyone’s favorite embroiderer Brian Haggard is back with Embroidered Memories —a rich compendium bursting with hundreds of embroidery designs for quilting, wearables, gifts, and more. The book includes lots of full-size patterns that you can re-size as you need to for any project you can dream up!
You can mix and match 375 unique elements and two alphabets to create any design you’d like, whether it reflects your memories, your hopes, or your present. It will also teach you to master 13 basic stitches that you can creatively combine for embellishing and storytelling.
From elegant lettering, flowers and vines to vintage and whimsical images, this book is guaranteed to inspire. Your designs can be traced or printed on transfer paper, whichever method you prefer. Pay tribute to your heritage, celebrate your family, or show off your own personal flair with loving needlework and embellishments.
As Brian writes in the introduction,” The images in this book are here to inspire you— to start a creative flow in your mind. Don’t allow them to stifle you by trying to follow them exactly. They are fluid. Release your imagination and let the images become what you want them to be.”

I would make a Doll Quilt to go with the antique Doll my Mother gave me. She is a beautiful doll and deserves a beautiful quilt.
I have several yards of fabric I got from my mother-in-law who passed away and I would love to do something with it and this book would be a great starting point.
I would make something with my children’s clothes.
I just bought Brian’s 1st book some weeks ago, and I am impatient to discover the 2nd.
I plan to create a fabric photo album with the pictures of the women of the family : my grand-mother, mother, my-self and my daughters. 1 “crazy” page for each of us, and pictures of all of us on the branches of a tree on the front page.
Thank you so much for the give away.
I am making a quilt in memory of my mother, who passed a few years ago. I think some crazy quilting will add just the right dimension that the project currently lacks.
I have always been interesting in playing (since a child) and making dolls. I have many porcelains and characters of my dolls, including some I won with Sulky, and would like to use some of my photos and beautiful design stitches to create a memory quilt. Traveling in our trailer for 5 months each year is going to allow me this following year to do hand work and create, create… create. Love this doll with puppet Brian made and the gorgeous purse. Book is a must have!
I’d love to make a 5-generation memorial stitchery. Thanks for the great giveaway!
I seriously love your site.. Very nice colors & theme.
Did you build this web site yourself? Please reply back as I’m looking to create my very own website and would love to know where you got this from or what the theme is named. Appreciate it!
