The members of our Creative Troupe are, well, in a word, CREATIVE. And that’s what we love about them! Let’s have a look around a few of their blogs to see what all they’re up to.
Nanette was a technical editor for Susan Brubaker-Knapp’s new book, Point, Click, Quilt! Turn Your Photos into Fabulous Fabric Art. The book inspired her to create a thread-painted portrait of her dog, which landed a coveted spot in the 2012 Quilting Arts calendar. Bow-WOW, Mr. September!
Heidi incorporates her beautiful butterfly photos into her work, like with this mixed media art doll, made using TAP® Transfer Artist Paper and Lutradur® Mixed Media Sheets.
Amanda is ready to dance in her new pair of tap shoes! She used TAP® Transfer Artist Paper to add some sweet little monsters to her sneakers.
Rose has a series of hand-embroidered pieces that feature funny inventions like this idea for a hands-free umbrella – that’s one clever chap.
So what’s blue and toothy and made from cast-off clothes for a good cause? Linda‘s six-legged Turqasaurus, of course.
Victoria is combining inks and paints with embroidery to create a series of mixed media fiber art pieces called The Sinister Stitch Chronicles and she’s filming a documentary of how she is creating the collection as she works. Victoria will share some of her wonderful techniques on our Wednesday Night Live! webcast on August 24th – don’t miss it!

I love the look of photos on fabric and Mr September is a fabulous example of how stitching them brings the photo to life.
Thanks Lisa,

Love all of the creations here…and appreciate my “umbrella man” making an appearance.
