Kaleidoscope Kreator 3 & Innovative Fabric Imagery for Quilts Giveaway

When I first started working on our books focusing on inkjet printing on fabric, I found out about this really great software called Kaleidoscope Kreator*. Over the years they have come out with new and improved versions. It’s great for printing on fabric or paper, and there are template packs, and project CDs as well. I started using it to make clocks.

Innovative Fabric Imagery for Quilts

I’m really impressed with their latest release, and have been having a great time with it. They have very generously donated 2 copies of the software for us to give away along with Innovative Fabric Imagery for Quilts by Cyndy Lyle Rymer and me, Lynn Koolish. Here are some of the images I’ve created with it.

To be in the running for the Kaleidoscope Kreator 3 & Innovative Fabric Imagery for Quilts giveaway, leave a comment here or on Facebook telling us what you’d make or do with the software of you win it. Comments will be closed at 9am PST on Monday, September 6th, 2010 and two lucky winners will be announced later that day.

Extra comment entries are available to you if you want to maximize your chances at being the giveaway winner! If you take one or more of the actions listed below, enter an extra comment for each, and in that comment tell us what you did and link to the proof where that’s possible.

What a fabulous tool this would be for not only creating quilts, but for all the other wonderful things it can be used for. Copy the image to paper and use in mixed media work. Create a stained glass window with the pieces cot from glass. Use one or two blocks for a bag/purse.

I have an old 60′s “Huddle Bed” with 8 cushions that need new covers. I’m making art quilt covers for each. So far I have one done with a fused landscape design. With the Kreator I could make several of the others using fabric made using the Kreator.

I would play! I recently retired for the 3rd time. This time I intend to get back into quilting, playing with new techniques and having lots of fun doing it! This just fits the bill! I would make wall hangings, scrapbooking with pictures of grandchildren, teach the technique to others.

I would love to win the Kaleidoscope Kreator 3. I am recovering from a total knee replacement and would have plenty of time to go through my 40 years of pictures and use the software. I would love to make family members a framed picture – Christmas Memory. Since our parents are no longer with us in person but always in our hearts this would be an awesome gift!! I am the oldest of 7 kids and homemade gifts are really appreciated by all.

I am continually amazed at the technology that is rapidly being made available. We have come a long way from those manual typewriters! From all appearances, this seems to be a fantastic program.

Oh I’d love to try out this software. I’m not knowledgeable enough about it to say what it would be good for, but I read another comment that suggested quilt labels. I think I need help with labels so that would be an excellent use. Thanks for the chance.

I love the idea of using software to create kaleidoscope patterns…what a time saver! I spent a three-day weekend making fabric kaleidoscopes and was able to finish just one fantastic kaleidoscope block..instructor was awesome but it would take me a year to finish enough blocks to complete a wallhanging…this is super idea! I can’t wait to try it out!
