I have been a member of The Quilt Show from the first one. I love the variety and depth of information that the show offers. I met Alex Anderson for a few minutes at the Knoxville Quilt Show (which I attended with a blog friend — and I bought a new Bernina there too). She was as delightful in person as on the show. You know, I would like to see the show host someone like one of their members, like Margo. That would be really fun. I’ m sure to love who they pick for future shows, however, no matter who it is!

When I first started quilting I watched Alex Anderson and found her to be very easy to follow. Since then I have not stopped quilting that has been 20+ years ago. I have been checking Ricky Tims patterns and now I think I might be ready to try one. It sure would be nice to win all of their books.

I have seen a huge change in quilting these last years for many quilters are going into art, fabric type of art and away from traditional blocks, but do at times incorporate them into their designs. I would love to see Joan Colvin with her ideas in Nature’s Studio presented on for her work is stunning. I love to see how she uses fabric to create her trees, birds, and especially the development of her “Bodies in Fabric” where she creates the wonderful women dressed in these flowing dresses.

I am so interested in crazy quilts and collage quilting techniques. I would love to see the topic of these techniques used in a new way. Maybe as a purse or wall hanging. A mixed media free for all, with quilting thechniqes, thread artistry, and composition highlighted. I have lots of scraps, ephemera, threads and miscellaneous items I would love to do something with. When it comes to putting them all together, I am lost.

I think she would be a great guest on The Quilt Show. C&T publishes great books! Most of my quilt library is from C & T. Keep up the good work.
