Everyday Inspiration

A creative life is filled with challenges and rewards, puzzles and curiosities. This ongoing series of poems attempts to express the “Aha”s and “What if”s, the deep ponderings and casual observations of an inquiring mind trying to make sense of reality. May it serve, for you, as a bit of “Everyday Inspiration” along your own creative path.

What’s worse?

Start your day

By doing something

You don’t

Like to do—

Put yourself in a bad

Mood

First thing

In the morning?

Or start

By doing something

You love,

Want to do,

Fills your spirit—

Then feel frustrated

Because

You didn’t get

The other work

Done?

Perhaps

Some of each

Is not so

Bad—

Mix it up—

A little soulfulness,

A little work—

Who said

Life can’t be

Random?

Absolutely…if I couldn’t approach live in a random way I wouldn’t have a life. Once I broke out of the typical stereotype of our society [in my twenties some 30 years ago] I began to have a much more fulfilling and enriched life. And I truly believe that rules can be broken..after all, isn’t that how new techniques and ways to reach new horizons are born? I think so.

Thanks so much for bringing these questions to the forefront…so many people are afraid of going against the flow…afraid of what others may say or think…..don’t fret, it’s your life not theirs so don’t let others guide your life’s journey. Make your own path and enjoy!

Mixing it up is great! But…if you have to eat two frogs, I say, “Eat the big one first!” It will be all downhill from there.

If the disliked task is able to be broken down into parts , I like to alternate it with something less odious!!!! Just be sure you dont have to eat both frogs with a side of crow.

I gues I had the worlds worst day yesterday but I know the fall out will pass and I’ll be better off in ;the long run

    Peace

Life is random. It’s how you handle the setbacks, interuptions and challenges that make life either boring or fulfilling.

Thanks for the Everyday Inspiration. I love this blog and could hope to have more emails from you. It would brighten my work day! (You know put a little fun in between the tasks.)

Inspiring. I would do something I love (sew/quilt) first every morning IF I had that “freedom” (from a job); as it is, I only have time for a (usually) peaceful cup of coffee….which is okay. I just dream of the freedom to organize my day MY way. And yes precious freedom does demand responsibility, doesn’t it–or else could it become dancing to someone else’s tune.
By the way I am new to this blog and like it very much—there is much more here than I expected!

That’s usually how my days go. Good morning, Lord. Make me a blessing to someone today. Then I tackle a task on hand and usually do something that needs to be done someday instead. ” Variety is the spice of life,” so it is said. How fun.

Sometimes we need to force ourselves into doing those things we don’t like and consider the other things as our reward. Working towards the ultimate goals helps us accomplish great things including those we don’t like doing!

I like to start each day with something I like. I’m not an early bird and before my coffee is finished I don’t think too clearly.
