Artterro means “Art of the Earth” and this eco-friendly company offers a line of eight award-winning art kits for kids. Their kits are open-ended art projects, so the possibilities are limitless. Each kit includes an “ideas sheet” to start the creative juices flowing, but the end result is a one-of-a-kind piece of art. You can personalize the projects by using some of your own materials and your kids’ very own imaginative ideas.
We hooked up with Forrest Espinoza, one of the moms behind the company, at the NAMTA trade show last month and she expressed interest in participating in one of our blog giveaways. So here it is! Artterro is giving away FIVE of their fabulous kits to one lucky C&T blog reader! The kits included in the prize pack are:
- Canvas Storybook Kit (which features our very own Ready-to-Go!® Blank Board Canvas Book)
- Bookmaking Kit
- Creativity Kit
- Collage Jewelry
- Collage Decoration Kit
You can download the kit descriptions here. All projects include enough materials for at least two people to share.
Artterro’s packaging is minimized to reduce environmental impact and all printing is done on 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper using vegetable-based inks and renewable power. The company takes great care in combining beautiful, inspiring, natural materials to provide a satisfying art experience friends and families can share.
The kits feature safe materials including high-quality copper and jewelry wire, marbles, glass and wooden beads, luxurious handmade paper, and 100% wool felt.
To be in the running for the Artterro Art Kit Giveaway, leave a comment here or on Facebook telling us which kit you like best and why. Comments will be closed at 9am PST on Monday, May 17, 2010 and the winner will be announced the following Tuesday.

These kits look incredible! I’ve been trying to do more crafty stuff w/ my daughter and I’m definitely going to get some of these kits. They look like they would be good gifts, too.
Wow, I am so glad to have seen this on twitter. It has inspired me so! I’ve got young adult children who love to make and wear “candy” (beaded) bracelets for art and to trade. The Collage Jewelry is something that I can do with them to create truly unique items. But that isn’t my favorate! The Bookmaking Kit is probably my fav! I want to write a book about the Irish Stories handed down in my family for generations. This is a tremendous was to include my own art to the book! Thank you for inspiring me!
I have a linked CT Blog badge on my blog,
They’re all so great! My kids would be ecstatic over any one of these, but I think the favorite would be that Canvas Storybook kit. *Love* the idea of less packaging. Fantastic!

My son would love the Storybook Canvas kit. He is always stapling copy paper together and making books for himself to doodle in and write his little stories. He would have so much fun with all of the kits but especially that one.

This looks like a wonderful project to do with my grandson. I am always looking for something new and different to do with him.
I like the bookmaking kit. My mother still has books that I made for her 40 years ago (showing my age, aren’t I), and they were so fun to make then. I’d love to see what I could have come up with with this kit!
Love the storyboook kit. Looks like hours of fun. My 5 year old has been making up stories lately…wonder what she would come up with if she had this to go along with them! Wonderful product!

My daughters and I just finished the Wire and Bead kit and loved it. In fact, it has inspired us to purchase more supplies and continue making wire jewelry!! One of my daughters is a great story writer and loves to create her own books. The bookmaking kit would give her a wealth of new ideas to begin creating new types of books. Love the earth friendly packaging!! A concept that aids in teaching our children about the value of our planet in a very fun way!!!
My daughter is home schooled, and this looks perfect!
what a great idea to inspire kids.

Wow! amazing products. The Canvas Storybook Kit is my favorite, but each prize would be fantastic to teach our grandchildren the many different crafting projects they can learn and see what interests them the most. Thank you for caring to make the materials for children and families to use that are helpful and not harmful for the environment.
I like the canvas storybook kit – you use it to save memories, plus you make MORE memories while creating it!
I subscribe to your newsletter and love learning about all the new products!
Like them all. The book making kit looks like something I could do with my grandson. He’s Autistic and likes to do/make things. Any of the these projects would be great for him.
This would be so fantastic to play with my grandkids. Children do not get enough Art exposure today.
My favorite kit would have to be the decoupage. It is a timeless art & promotes creativity. Best of all, one does not need to be an “Artist” to accomplish a project. Anyone can do this, enjoy it & find that they too have a creative bone in their body.
What great kits, I can see myself and my grandaugher doing these fun projects. Not only would I be learning think of what it would for my grandchild. What a mind growing thing.
I liked the blank canvas because there is such an opportunity to explore the creative side of my grandchild and myself. Unlimted potenial.
I love this. When my children were little, we had crafty summers where they could be creative with beads, fabric, paints and whatever materials we could use to allow them to get a little messy and express themselves. Years later, I look around and smile as their handiwork still decorates my walls and shelves. My granddaughter is sharing this tradition; she likes to paint and make jewelry so if I had to choose I would choose the collage jewelry or the bookmaking kit. She is learning to create and tap into her imagination without the use of electronics. And we spend valuable time together, a bonus for me.
I really like the canvas storybook kit.
I would LOVE the creativity kit to make a Mixed Media Fiber Collage or the Canvas Book to create a Hand Painted Book with the techniques i’ve been learning on my online workshops.
Keeping my fingers crossed.
This kit looks like something I could use for one of the projects for my 2nd Annual Summer Art Camp for kids this July.
The storybook. I have a story to tell and this is a perfect way to tell it.
Thank you for the opportunity to win something wonderful to do with my grandchildren. They love to do “art” and the creativity kit would make the two of them tickled pink, especially with Gran assisting and keeping the snacks coming.
I already subscribe to the newsletter.
Thank you!
I would enjoy the jewelery set for my two nieces. They would enjoy making the jewelery as well as wearing it.
My favorite is the Canvas Story Book Kit. I can see my grandchildren letting their imaginations create a story.
Wow what a great selection for my granddaughter who is quite the artist at 15. The other grands would love also.
N
What fun that collection will be when my grandchildren visit. Perhaps you could throw in a little time to go along with it. Thanks.
My six and nine year old grandaughters love to read and be read to, and do art daily and the book kit is the ideal way to meld the two activities. Would love to have that to share with them!
Wow, I love all the kits, but if i had to choose a favorite it would be the jewelry kit because my grandaughter and I could make some neat things together.

this would all be so much fun to do with my granddaughter!
Wow…. it’s hard to choose just one kit as a favorite! I guess I would have to say the creativity kit because it’s so versatile! You could make one of the suggested items or anything you would want! Great product!

My daughter would love the creativity kit- gluing felt together to make something would make her a happy camper!
I love doing art projects with my grands! I can’t choose one kit…they would love all of them!!
These kits look like they are very high quality and have a generous amount of materials. I have been looking for something like this to give to my grandchildren so they can make things at home. They love to color pages and give them to me and to their step-mom and their Dad and Grandpa. I have looked at some kits, but they seem cheap, are stingy with their “stuff” and are over priced. My grandchildren would like any of the kits. Of the two shown, they would probably like the one with the book best. They could write stories and put in photos., but they also like making gifts for birthdays and Christmas so the creativity one would appeal to the as well. The only way to be sure is to give them to the kids and find out.Where can I buy these kits and how much are they.
My favourite kit would have to be the Canvas Storybook Kit as my children as well as myself could have lots of fun with it. My children love to write stories and make story books as well as doing craft… a great combination!

The Creativity Kit is my vote, hands down. There is so much that a kid can do with this kit with just a little imagination. Everything from a memory page (suitable for framing) to a special ‘jewelry’ piece to a holiday bauble for the tree or a present to making a special treasure for a special friend. Wow! The ideas can be endless with a kid’s unlimited imagination.
Love the Storybook kit! It teaches kids to express themselves in a fun and creative way. I really think its a great tool in learning, I’d love to have it for my niece!
I like the collage jewelry the most! My teen could sit down with my 9-year-old and SHE could make jewelry for her friends and/or herself while helping HIM make a piece for me!
