I have never made anything with wool felt. I didn’t know where to start. This package would be a great way to get into felting. I want to make a hat embellished with needle felting and I want to make a wall hanging for Spring.

I love working with felt, this year for Christmas I made a couple candle mats, I made tiny felt pincushions, and felt is the best think for teaching kids to sew. I also made bags for the girls at my daughters birthday party to decorate from felt.

I am exploring working with wool and find it great to have projects to carry with me and work on by hand. And it’s amazing what a little bit of embellishment does to create a joyful piece! Thanks for the opportunity to

Our knitting guild is currently embellishing knitted and fulled hats to be auctioned next fall with the proceeds donated to charity. Some guidance and skill building would be great–I’d love to be able to help with the knowledge I’d gain through the books, and give others a chance to try a new (to them) product.

I’m planning on getting BabyLocks new embellishing machine (more needles than their original model!), so of course I’m going to need some fibers to play with! I’m really excited there are now embellishing machines available (I have a shoulder injury and it makes doing it by hand really difficult), and what’s really great is that C&T is always up on the latest, providing books for everything a quilter/fiber artist could wish for. Thanks, C&T!

And my final comment is that I signed up for the Utube subscription (I had to first sign up for Utube, and C&T will be my first subscription!). I don’t have a blog, or do twitter, so this is my final entry.

I use wool on almost every project I make. I either hand wet felt, needle felt or machine felt. These would make a great addition to my work as I could use them as prefelts and add to my current projects.

I would love to make a folksy quilt with them using punch needle and embroidery by machine and embellished with handwork. There would need to be a little 3D work on it too!
Or I would make a fantastic story telling cloak with appliqued figues from children’s stories on it.
I am bursting with ideas. :o)
I do have a link to you on my blog and already get your email so can’t add to my chances any more.

My first experience with felting was in 1982 when my babysitter “helped” me out with laundry and washed and dried my favorite foxiest-ever wool sweater. I was not a happy camper; had I known then what I know now, I’d probably given her a raise.
Now I love felting on old blue jeans, creating felt beads, buying old wool clothing at garage sales and flea markets to fashion into wearable art bags and other fun stuff.
