I started as of yesterda 6/21/10 and have started making the tube pillowcases and have 36 so far cut and ready to sew. Hopefully, just a co-matching cuff will be suitable for these pillowcases as I do not have time at the moment to do a lot of fancy work on them. I am going to try and get some friends to come and help me. I am a big time quilter and so have set that aside for a few days to get all this fabric cut for pillowcases. I am sure there are others out there with the same problem and this is a way to use lots of fabrics in large chunks which will still help someone. I make lots of quilts for charities but after awhile there is only so many ways to use some of this fabric up. Hopefully using some cotton/polyester is permittable. I said it was "Hope House" in Rochester, MN. That was incorrect--the name is Hope Lodge in Rochesster, MN. Our church has donated in kind gifts there and they are a wonderful facility, providing a place to stay for patients who are receiving cancer treatment along with a caregiver.
