Happy New Year!

Well, I find this post very inspiring. I do garden indoors year round and have some of the plants mentioned on your list.
Green Thumb? I guess I have one...considering I live in Toronto, Canada.

Regards,

Peace lilies are definitely easy: They hate overwatering and overfeeding, so you just ignore them until the leaves droop, then give some water and all's happy again. They don't mind darkish spots, and with an occasional dust/polish and cutting out of dead leaves, makes it look like you've green fingers.
