WOW! As soon as I saw this I perked right up! What a fabulous giveaway and what an exciting product idea! I “play” with painting on fabric….I say “play” because I have yet to make anything I consider usable in a quilt; I also have yet to find a product or combination that really works for me with satisfying results. I think a lot of it has to do with my application technique. That’s why I was so excited when I saw this…a kit! Everything I need to get started. Win or not I’ve got to have this! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I would love to do something arty. I would love to decorate a journal for some artwork. I have never known how or where to start but this package looks like the perfect way to get started. I would so love to win this.

What an exciting new product and a great giveaway. What I like about this is that you can create your own design and have fun with the delightful colors. You can also use this to embellish on existing fabrics, to enhance the design or colors. Such fun! I’d love to play with it!

I hope everyone at the C&T staff has a very Merry Christmas!

I read a magazine and I want to make things. I heat delicious cupcakes and a I want to make things. I walk and I want do make things. I breath and I want to make things. I’m starting to suspect that making things with my hands is what I live for. I saw this post and thought that maybe its time to start. Maybe I’ll do a painted silk scarf, or a visual diary on fabric. Maybe I’ll paint my skirts and shirts or bright blue skies on my curtains. I’ll definitely make something with my hands even if I don’t win this kit. :)

What I would paint on fabric? Hmmm – I saw a cool idea with a fake necklace on a t-shirt today. That could be interesting to try with paints versus the cut out flowers the blogger had used.

I would likely use it to embellish small projects–journal covers or purses or ipod cases…….

A very Merry Christmas to everyone at the C&T staff!

This kit looks wonderful! I use paints on fabric to turn it into the fabric I need. I tone down bright colors, brighten and lighten areas to simulate sunlight, and add details. My favorite use for surface design is to extend the look of printed photos onto the fabric surrounding it. See my quilt “…I Pray for Peace” at http://anitaheadyfiberarts.blogspot.com/2008/08/asheville-quilt-show.html . My son is back in Afghanistan again and I plan to make more quilts in this series.

I loved Jane’s other 2 books and I can’t wait to see this one! What a great idea to pair the products with the book. I am excited to try out some new techniques and products. I love the beach and would like to create some beach scenes with paint and other products on fabric.

I just love all of your publications, especially Jane’s books. I have been in a postcard trading group with Jane for several years and each postcard is a treasure!

I love painting on fabric as it allows you to customize your work and produce something nobody else has (including fabric). The things I would create are endless. I primarily like to do wall-hanging quilts.

Jane is awesome – I usually am just a dyer, but her work makes me want to jump into painting on fabric too!

I love the idea of painting on fabric to create a one-of-a-kind print. I am really in to making items for my grandchildren and nieces and nephews that no one else has.

I think it’s totally cool that liquitex has entered the surface design/fabric world and will encourage people to paint on fabric. As a watercolor painter (and art quilter) I should be painting on fabric more than I do–cuz, I know how to paint! What would I make with this cool prize? I’d probably set to work right away playing with the fabric book and paints and create a sample book using the techniques in Jane’s sure-to-be-fabulous new book!

What exciting possibilities this kit brings into life. A book to guide the skills which will need to be learnt and materials ready to hand. What could be better!
There are so many avenues, creatively speaking, which could open up with the opening of this kit…………….. What a start for 2010!

I love the way painting can change a plain piece of white fabric into something extraordinary with the right techniques and tools. Having it all in a kit would be fantastic. I’m looking forward to the new book. Thanks for providing the giveaway
