The second is African, the lion and elephant are done in stumpwork. Also check the sidebar projects under dimensional embroidery and crazy quilting. My designs of flowers and dragonflies are there. Also how I created them. I hope you enjoy your books, many are out of print. I hope you will share what you create. And Jane Nicholas truely is the Obi-wan of all things stumpworked - especially her amazingly beautiful beetles and dragonflies.
