We have 16 bags up for grabs—each one is full of all kinds of cool stuff! I saw some adorable pink Exacto knives, pretty threads, nifty scrapbooking stickers, and I was tempted to snag a couple of the stamp pads. But alas, all these incredible products are destined for you, not me!

You have up to THREE chances to win a grab bag—here’s how to enter:

Get in once—post a comment here and tell us what project you’re working on right now.  Are you sewing, quilting, knitting, scrapbooking, painting?

Get in twice—post a second comment here and tell us that you have signed up to get our e-newsletters – if you haven’t already, sign up here!)

Get in 3 times—tell your friends about our grab bags! Post a third comment here with a link back to your own blog post about this give-away. You might want to grab one of our beautiful blog badges while you’re at it!)

This contest will be fierce, so get ready! The deadline to enter is midnight, July 12, 2009. Winners will be chosen at random from the comments and announced on our blog during the week of July 13th. If you choose to post comments that are not linked to your own online profile, be sure to include your name and email in your comment. I have currently set everything else aside (3 BOM quilt clubs, multiple projects and even housework…within reason) to complete a “Prayer Quilt” for a friend who suffered a ruptured aneuorism and after 54 days in the hospital, most of it in intensive care, is now home but profoundly paralyzed on her right side and confined to a wheelchair. She faces another surgery to clamp off the third and last aneuorism they found when they operated on the ruptured one. That surgery is coming up July 7th. All I have to finish is the binding and it will be ready for this dear friend of 35 + years. Had my own health not interferred I would have had it finished a week ago but…Life Happens, right. I WILL have the quilt to her as soon as she gets home from the hospital after this last surgery. I’m late on many of my other projects but we have to pick our priorities…Sooo, GOOD LUCK EVERYONE.

Sewing, I am sewing. It’s a very ambitious project too — Warm Window roman shades for some clerestory windows. Not only am I making the shades for 4 windows that are 18′ up from the floor, but I am mounting the blinds myself. The goal here is to cut the heat and light from the summer sun so my A/C doesn’t work so hard.

Since our guild’s quilt show is now over, I can breathe deeply. Why is it that when I have two years between quilt shows, I’m frantically adding another bit of bling to the wearable art (a handbag), and stitching the corners of a binding, at the last minute!!?? So now I’m trying to catch up on a guild mystery and The Quilt Show’s BOM.

I currently am working on several projects. One is for a Christmas gift for a friend in my quilting mini group, another is a blue and yellow wallhanging that I finally got back to after cutting some pieces wrong. It was disheartening, but I am ready to go again. The last is a flower batik quilt that I have been working on for a couple months. When you have several things going, I seem not to get tired of just one project.
