This is so true especially for women, because when you’re older, your children are independent or even out of the house, and suddenly there is so much more time in your day. I have 2 adult children, and one teen left in the house. She doesn’t need me much anymore (mainly for driving her places). I looked at all that freed-up time and realized I could make more than one or two quilts a year. I just finished teaching a beginning quilting class for the first time, and a friend and I are considering starting a quilt pattern line. I have a life again!
