I’m making homemade candy for the upcoming summer birthdays in my family (we come from a long line of chocolate fiends). Wouldn’t it be great to gift them in some cute boxes like these instead of the poor wrapping job I do now. I’m the world’s worst gift wrapper, I make my husband do it for me because it looks like a two-year-old wraps my gifts.

All year long I collect/purchase little “trinkets” for my daughter’s and daughter-in-law’s Christmas stockings — Special candy, jewelry items, gourmet foods that they love, etc. How special those little trinkets would be if they came in an equally special gift box!

What a great book, I would love to check it out. Happy mother’s day, a little early.

This looks so fun! I’ve always loved making little boxes! The 1st thing I would probably use them for is as party favors for my daughter’s upcoming birthday. Fill with little hair accessories and play jewelry that all her little 5yo friends seem to love!

I would fill my gift box with the most coveted and creative fabric pieces available anywhere!

What a clever book, I think I must live under a rock, I never knew such books existed. I’d fill them with lovely little handmade gifts, sweets, cookies, flavoured nuts and then of course there’s the things I create in my sewing room. I’m sure I could squeeze a little creation into one of those boxes.

I need boxes to stash all those things I can’t part with just yet: gifts from my children from their elementary school years. They would make perfect gift boxes to hand over to my daughters when I decide I can finally give their gifts to me back to them.

Many things they can be used for. I can think of homemade fudge or cookies for a friend going through a hard time.

I would fill my box with twinchies, inchies, bits of threads and fabric offcuts and one or two chocolates of course..

I’d put a cupcake in it. Thanks for the chance.

I would put chocolates under the pretense of giving it as a gift but would think it cute and keep it for myself! And if it has dark chocolate, I will hide from my children!

I would give the book to my creative daughter who loves making little treats for people at work. These little boxes would be perfect containers for the treats.

I’d have my daughters make several boxes and fill them with their 2 grandmas favorite sweets – chocolate! I love to share crafts like what is in this book with my girls and hope they will pass along the love of creating with their children…when they have some.

I think that this book is going to have to be a must for my bookshelf: I’m going to look for it at my local bookshop this weekend.
I belong to a volunteer group that has a monthly door prize (50cents a chance, – money goes toward covering our postage for a monthly mailing). This book looks to me to have some ideas for the perfect door prize!!!
thanks for posting about this book. :-D

Each Monday I join in with a group of quilters to do charity sewing, or just sew on our own projects. We honor each other’s birthdays and I’m thinking these little boxes would be great for the small homemade gifts we exchange. Thanks for the chance to win this great book.
