It would be sooo nice to see more books, projects, and patterns geared to hand applique. It seems to me that anything done by hand is being left behind. Don’t ever forget the manner in which quilting started. In this day and age, it seems that things have to be done, fast, faster, fastest. Quilting is not the modern day cut and glue of our school days. It is indeed a hand crafted art form. I am not saying that there is no need for the sped up versions, I am saying that we should not be left on the wayside. More patterns with the option of fusible or hand applique please. Don’t think that all that is necessary to turn fusible to hand applique is a 1/4 inch seam allowance, not so., it may require slight modification of the pattern itself. Please, a little courtesy to us will go a long way.
C&T Publishing always has quality books at a reasonable price. My latest on my “hope to buy” list is William Morris in Applique. It looks absolutely incredible.
Thank you so very much!! I am very excited! I love felt!!
congrats to the lucky winner!
