Quilting Arts Magazine’s Rock On! Art Quilt Challenge. Artwork due February 2. Art quilts, 8-1/2″ x 11″ vertical orientation, based on the theme “Rock ‘n’ roll.”  Entry fee $15 U.S. and Canada, $25 international.

Fourth European Quilt Triennial. Fee due February 15, Application due March 1. For European residents only. Juried exhibit to be held October 18, 2009-January 24, 2010 in Heidelberg, Germany.  Entry fee: 24 euros.

Orchids: Jewels in the Jungle. Application and fee due February 15. Quilted wall hangings and wearable art for the American Orchid Society’s challenge exhibit.  March 30 through May 3 in Delray Beach, Florida. Entry fee: $10 per entry.
