Are you wishing and hoping and praying for an out-of-print C&T book?

Have you ever heard about a great book only to find that it is out of print, and you can’t find it anywhere? Well, this has happened to me on several occasions. I am an avid book reader and collector and just hate it when I hear about a book and can’t get my hands on it. Recently we featured a post on bringing out of print C&T titles back as electronic downloads (eBooks) that are viewable, printable PDFs.

I have a question for our blog readers. What C&T book would you like us to bring back as an ebook? And yes, this is definitely a popularity contest.

In the past year we have gotten requests for any out of print book by Elly Sienkiewicz, Symmetry and Pieced Flowers by Ruth B. McDowell and Jacobean Rhapsodies by Pat Campbell. Some of these are scheduled to be released early this year. So, if you are a wishing and hoping and praying to get your hands on an impossible to find C&T book, let me know by commenting on this post, and I’ll see what I can do!

Happy New Year!

I would love to see Sharyn Craig’s “Setting Solutions” available again. I just took a class from her this fall and would love to have this book in my library. Thank you. Jennifer Morlock

Please bring back the out of print book by Piece ‘O Cake Designs called “Stars In The Garden”. I know I use to have a copy of it but I loaned it to “who knows” and I no longer have it to put with all their other books. Thank you, Shirlee

I would donate my ovaries to get a copy pdf or otherwise of Elly’s book “Spoken Without a Word”. Actually I need two copies, one for a friend. We wish to create our own designs (Australian) but we need Ellys book to explain what everthing means….Oh please please…I cant afford $400US (about $800Aust) for a used copy…

Hi Kay, I wish we could sell Elly’s books as eBooks too. I sent her your message in the hopes of encouraging her to consider the possibility. Your comment made me crack up. Amy

Another vote to Elly’s Spoke Without A Word. I wrote to her last year begging her to republish the book. I really, really hope you can convince Elly to republish. Why should everyone else make $200+ on the out-of-print copies? Not to mention that I can’t afford $200. Unless, of course, I’m buying fabric for another quilt.

I’d LOVE, LOVE, LOVE being able to purchase Jacobean Rhapsodies. I’ve searched worlwide for it. Please let me know if it is published again. I’ll be amongst the first to purchase it.

Dear Naida, Great news we are selling it as an ebook and in a few months it will be available as a Print on Demand book that looks just as good as the original. Keep checking our website as we our goal is to have the POD books available soon.

Please re-publish Elly Sienkiewicz ‘SPOKEN WITHOUT A WORD . ANY BOOK SHE WRITES including her CDs are awesome! It would be fantastic to have a cd with the pdf files of the blocks from her books to print!! I love her books and love her teaching methods on her cds. Some of us have been quilting for a long time, but we are just beginning to applique. Elly’s books are treasures for everyone’s quilting library. I live in a rural area, so taking classes is not always a good option for me. To have Elly’s cd, is like having her as a private teacher all by myself.

Shelia, I will ask Elly once again to let us bring her out-of-print books back as eBooks. I think they would be great. We will soon have the ability to print books on demand and Elly’s will be at the top of our list. Thank you for commenting.

I agree with Kay,Ana, and Shelia.
“SPOKEN WITHOUT A WORD’ should be Re-Publised at an affordable price. and soon. I gave up my ovaries years ago, and my other body parts aren’t in great shape either. so I have no bargining tools, except to say I have been quilting for over forty years and I have most of her books also CD’s which I love. It would sure make this Senior citizen”s very happy to own a copy of this book before I depart this life.
